Interested in certifying a group member as a Survival Med instructor?

  • 1 We'll certify the group member you select as a Survival Med In-Person Skills Instructor. They need to be a licensed healthcare provider (see list in FAQ) OR hold a WFA or WFR certification.
  • 2 Licensed healthcare providers (see list in FAQ) can certify as In-Person Instructors via Challenge Exam. WFA/WFR graduates must complete our Instructor Training.
  • 3 The $25 Challenge Exam fee &/or the $65 Instructor Training fee will be credited to your group enrollment.
  • 4 Use our Group Enrollment Tools to sign up group members in Wilderness First Aid or WFR Recert whenever you wish.
  • 5 Schedule your local in-person hands-on skills training date(s) when convenient.
  • 6 Each group member will receive a WFA or WFR certificate co-signed by Survival Med & your group once they complete all requirements.

Your certified In-Person Skills Instructor must teach and evaluate the following skills, plus any additional hands-on skills you require for your group's unique needs.

Wilderness First Aid & Wilderness First Responder

Patient assessment & physical exam

Upper extremity splint

Lower extremity splint

Tourniquet

Compression bandage

Cervical collar

Wilderness First Responder Only
